Este es el diario del DR. Gerald Robonik, creador de Shadow. Esto esta directamente extraido del Sonic Battle, cada fragmento sale cuando ganas por segunda ves la historia de cada personaje.

parte 1 (Sonic)
i have uncovered a most interesting specimen from the warehouse
ibelieve it is some sort of puppet or robot made by an ancient
people. At first, i didn't think anything of it, but when i was
experimenting on "chaos Emeralds" it began to move, this suggest
the possibility that even the ancient civilizations could harness
the power of "chaos emeralds" when i was researching various
papers related to the "chaos Emeralds" and this robot, i discovered
that there was a possibility that this robot was something incredible.
I don't want to get aheadof myself, but this robot may be the cause
of the destruction of the fourth Great Civilization. Im not sure I
believe it just yet, tougth.
parte 2 (Tails)
i am no longer able to ignore the possibility that this robot
did in fact destroy the fourth great Civilization. I have discovered
a stone tablet that explains as much. Acording to the tablet, "When the
figure falls from the heavens, and the stone of the gods is joined, all
that exist will become one again." Tough it is difficult to believe, this
robot has been watching my movements, and mimicking all that i do. I was
amazed by my scans of this being. Surprisingly, reams and reams of data
scrolled and caused my most powerful computer to crash. More intriguing was
that the data was all about melee combat and weapons of that age. Eventually,
if this being is ever restored to its former state, it will put all that data
to use, and recreate all the weaponry and combat abilities that it once had...
And that's not all. If my guesses are correct,it will also have the ability to
absorb modern weaponry as well. What have i done? i have uncovered a horrible
weapon...
parte 3 (Rouge)
I now understand why this being was named "Gizoid". In the ancient tounge,
it means "everything". According to the stone tablet, if the Gizoid entablishes
a "Link" with someone, the Gizoid will swear loyalty to that person.
Perhaps it still lacks "Chaos Emerald" energy, but it has been saying the word
"Link" to me in broken tones. It went on to explain: "Show me your true strenght,
and I shall obey. I am all things, and all shall belong to me." So, as it
suggested, I brought before it my collection of model guns, and fired them all.
Then, suddenly, it said, "I shall follow your every command, and never leave
your side." And since then, it refuses to listen to anyone but me. While it
still is a fearsome weapon of destruction, while it remains under my control,
at least it won't be used for evil. However, if someone with evil intentions
ever forms a "link" with the gizoid... I dont even want to think about what will
happen. I must research how one can re-entablish a "Link" with the Gizoid...
parte 4 (Knuckles)
The upper echelon is going crazy. Perhaps, they aim to freeze Project "Shadow".
Soon,the ultimate life form, "Shadow" will be completed... The application to
my granddaughter is also imminent. I cannot just let them stop my study at this
point. Because I am the only who can save my granddaughter's life.
parte 5 (Amy)
The higher ups are threatening to shut down this research facility. I had no
choice but to hand them the Gizoid to buy more time formy research. I tried to
be careful and commanded it to never absorb any dangerous technologies. However,
I have heard that other researchers have been making the Gizoid absorb weapons.
Apparently, the way to cause the gizoid to form a new "Link" is to show it power
that surpasses that of its former master. While this poses immense danger, i
cannot risk losing Maria.
parte 6 (Cream)
My worst fears have come true. The gizoid has absorbed enough weaponry and
technology that it has started to go out of control. The resulting rampage
resulted in the destruction of most of the "Ark".
...
I have deciphered the rest of the stone tablet. It says, "When the Gizoid had
learned all that it could, it became a god of wrath, and all was destroyed."
The researchers somehow managed to subdue the Gizoid and sealed it away.
Luckily, it only had one "Chaos Emerald" installed. If it were to have all 7
Emeralds installed, it might destroy the whole planet. The gizoid is too much
of a liability. I tried destroying its core, but nothing i did worked. I
understand too little of the technology that built him. My best hope is to try
and reprogram its AI into a free-willed, emotion-based AI...
parte 7 (Shadow)
I have heard there was an accident at the research facility.
... ... ...
Everything...
Everything is gone.
My own Maria's name was among the list of casualities. My beloved granddaughter..
They tell me her parting words were, "Bring hope to humanity". I have decided
that the keyword to avtivate the Gizoid's free-willed emotions-based AI program
will be those very words. "Bring hope to humanity." My poor, poor Maria...
parte 8 (Emerl)
A heritage of the past I dug out, "Gizoid"... And the ultimate life form i
created by my own hands, Shadow... I equipped both weapons with "heart".
If all powers are not what is to be obtained for oneself, but what is to be
born from hearts that yearn for someone, I believe all conflicts should cease
to exist. Please... if there is anyone listening to my prayers... Bring hope
to humanity.

Eh encontrado un espécimen de lo mas interesante en el deposito.
Creo que es alguna especie de marioneta o control hecho por las
personas antiguas. Al principio, no le di demasiada importancia, pero mientras estaba experimentando con las "chaos emeralds" comenzó a moverse, esto sugirió la posibilidad que incluso las civilizaciones antiguas pudieron manejar el poder de las "chaos emeralds".
Cuando estaba investigando varios papeles referentes a las "chaos emeralds" y a este robot, descubrí que existe la posibilidad de que este robot fuese algo increíble.
No quiero adelantarme a los hechos, pero este robot pudo haber sido la causa de la destrucción de la cuarta gran civilización. Aunque no estoy seguro de creerlo aun.
parte 2 (Tails)
Ya no puedo ignorar la posibilidad de que este robot haya de hecho destruido la cuarta gran civilización. Eh encontrado una tabla de piedra que explica algo.
De acuerdo con la tabla, "cuando la figura caiga de los cielos, y la piedra de los dioses se una, todo lo que existe volverá a ser uno nuevamente".
Aunque es difícil de creer, este robot ah estado observando mis movimientos, y copiando todo lo que hago. Estaba sorprendido por los resultados de mis análisis internos de este ser.
Sorpresivamente, resmas y resmas de datos se desplazaron y causaron la destrucción de mi más poderosa computadora. Mas intrigante fue que todos esos datos corresponden a combate cuerpo a cuerpo y armas de esa era.
Eventualmente, si este ser es devuelto a su estado original, va a poner toda esa información en uso, y recreara todas las habilidades de combate y armas que una vez tubo...
Y eso no es todo. Si mis suposiciones son correctas, también va a tener la habilidad de absorber el armamento moderno. Que eh hecho? eh descubierto un
arma horrible...
parte 3 (Rouge)
Ahora entiendo porque este ser fue llamado "Gizoid". En la lengua antigua significa "todo".
De acuerdo con la tabla de piedra, si el Gizoid entabla una "conexión" con alguien, el gizoid le jurara lealtad a esa persona.
Quizás aun necesita mas energía de las "Chaos emeralds", pero me ah estado diciendo la palabra "conexión" en un tono roto. La tabla continua así: "Muéstrame tu verdadera fuerza, y yo te obedeceré. Yo soy todas las cosas, y todo me pertenecerá". Así, como es sugerido, Le traje toda mi colección de armas modernas y las dispare.
Entonces, de repente, dijo. "seguiré cada uno de tus comandos, y nunca dejar tu lado." Y desde entonces, se rehúsa a oír a cualquiera excepto a mí. Aunque sigue siendo un arma de destrucción a temer, mientras este bajo mi control, al menos no será usada para el mal. Sin embargo, si alguien con malas intenciones alguna ves forma una "conexión" con el gizoid...no quiero ni pensar lo que podría pasar. Debo investigar como puede uno restablecer una "conexión" con el gizoid...
parte 4 (Knuckles)
El piso de arriba esta enloqueciendo. Quizás, quieren detener el projecto "Shadow".
Pronto, la forma de vida perfecta, "Shadow" estará completa...la aplicación a mi nieta también es inminente.
No puedo simplemente dejar que ellos detengan mis estudios en este punto. Porque soy el único que puede salvar la vida de mi nieta.
parte 5 (Amy)
Los altos mandos están amenazando con cerrar este centro de investigación.
No tuve otra opción mas que darles el Gizoid a cambio de mas tiempo para mi investigación. Trate de ser cuidadoso y le ordene nunca absorber tecnología peligrosa. Sin embargo, eh oído que los otros investigadores estuvieron haciendo que gizoid absorbiera armas.
Aparentemente, la forma que usaron para que el gizoid formara una nueva "conexión" es mostrarle un poder que sobrepase el de su antiguo maestro. Aunque esto posee un inmenso peligro, no puedo arriesgarme a perder a Maria.
parte 6 (Cream)
Mis mas terribles temores se hicieron realidad. El gizoid ah absorvido suficiente armamento y tecnología que empezó a salirse de control. El resultado fue la destrucción de la mayor parte de "Ark".
...
Eh descifrado el resto de la tabla de piedra. Dice, "Cuando el Gizoid aprendió todo lo que pudo, se convirtió en un dios de la ira, y todo fue destruido."
Los investigadores de alguna forma lograron subyugar el gizoid y encerrarlo.
Por suerte, tenia solo una "chaos emerald" instalada. De haber tenido todas las 7 instaladas, podría haber destruido todo el planeta. El gizoid es demasiada responsavilidad. Trate de destruir su núcleo, pero no logre nada. Entiendo muy poco de la tecnología con la que fue construido. Mi mejor opción ahora es tratar de reprogramar su inteligencia artificial en una de libre albedrío, basada en las emociones...
parte 7 (Shadow)
Escuche que había habido un accidente en el centro de investigación.

Todo...
Todo se perdio.
El nombre de mi Maria estaba dentro de la lista de accidentados. Mi amada nieta.
Me dijeron que sus últimas palabras fueron, "Traiga esperanza
a la humanidad". Decidí que la clave para activar el programa de inteligencia artificial con voluntad y emociones sean esas mismas palabras. "Traiga esperanza a la humanidad". Mi pobre, pobre Maria...
parte 8 (Emerl)
una herencia del pasado que escarbe, "Gizoid"...y la forma de vida perfecta que cree con mis propias manos, Shadow...Equipe a ambas armas con "corazón".
Si todos los poderes no se obtienen por uno mismo, sino son lo q nace de corazones que se enternecen por alguien, creo que todos los conflictos deberían dejar de existir. Por favor...si alguien mas escucha mis plegarias...Traiga esperanza a la humanidad.
